EMERGENCY POWER SUPPLY
Model EPU 28-24RMT series emergency power supply is a 28-
VDC, 7.5 amp unit producing a 24-VDC output for emergency use
to power several instruments including a gyro display and a
radio in case of total aircraft electrical system failure. It is also
available in 14- and 28-VDC input and output. This is economical
insurance in a 7.5 pound package for aircraft frequently involved
in IFR operations. This EPU replaces the non-TSO’d Terra and
AIM units that are no longer in production.

Additional features of the new Castleberry unit include sealed
lead-acid batteries, now free from corrosion and shipping
problems under hazardous materials regulations and an optional
fuselage mounted external connection for testing and battery
certification.
